The no.1 e-Commerce Group in Taiwan – PChome Online (8044 TW) today (Nov. 7th) announced 2018 third quarter consolidated financial report. Consolidated revenue for 3Q18 is NT$8.2 billion, growing by 12.6% compared with the same period last year. Consolidated revenue for the first three quarters of 2018 is NT$24.25 billion, creating a historical high record. B2C business maintains a strong growth momentum with brilliant sales enhancement from 3C products. In terms of brand exploration, PChome became the first Taiwan e-Commerce company to be qualified as the exclusive “Apple Authorized Distributor” for full range of products.
 
Consolidated operating expenses decreased by NT$303 million compared with second quarter this year, thanks to lower marketing expenses for Personal Store. Unconsolidated net loss for PChome Online parent company is NT$189 million. Because of the lower marketing expense, consolidate net loss for PChome Online has shrunk to NT$300 million in 3Q from NT$588 million in 2Q. 
 
Chairman of PChome Online, Mr. Jan said, “Accumulated three quarters’ revenue for PChome B2C business grew 14.8% compared with the same period last year. Continued the momentum in the first half of this year, we also introduce cross-board items from Japan and Korea during the “Greater Single Day”, starting to connect high-quality products from all over the world in the fourth quarter this year. Additionally, prime membership economy promoted by PChome has also driven members to repurchase more. Currently, P-coins could be used in over 100,000 application scenarios, and via P-coins’ application in offline-to-online scenarios, it would allow PChome to sustainably develop PChome Prime membership ecosystem.” Moreover, Personal Store achieved awesome performance in mobile e-Commerce market in the first three quarters with an increasing average ticket price and expanding market share. 2018 third quarter GMV has grown nearly 3 times compared with the same period last year, maintaining the leading position among Taiwan mobile e-Commerce.
 
2018 third quarter operating highlights:
• PChome 24h maintained strong operation momentum, benefiting from Ghost Festival, Father’s Day, Chinese Valentine’s Day, Back to School season and Mid-
Autumn Festival. Growth engine is also backed by new iPhone launch in September, prime membership economy and brand promotion strategy.
 
• Ruten has launched more AI related services since third quarter through data analysis based on 10mn membership database. Ruten personalized
recommendation has driven the traffic conversion rate to grow 4 times.
 
• PChome Store maintained strong growth momentum with the number of stores and SKU approaching 110,000 and 300mn, respectively. Personal Store started to monetize via advertisement service since late April and 0.5% commission fees since November 2018.
